The Dudhsagar Waterfall excursion is a full-day trip to one of the most famous waterfalls. It is situated inside Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary as well as Mollem National Park in Goa. The waterfall, sometimes referred to as "the Sea of Milk" because of the white, milky cascade that plunges 315 meters down a sloping forested slope. It's an incredible natural spectacle.
This package of tours includes a morning pickup and an the evening departure, an easy hike (about 11 kilometers) through the lush forests, a tour to the spice plantation, a lunch packed with bottled water and forest entry permits. Visitors can swim or simply relax by the waterfall (in safe zones) and can observe wildlife in the forest, such as the monkeys, and birds that are colorful on the trail.
Important details & traveler guidance:
- The hike involves walking along trails through the forest. Comfortable shoes and a change of clothes, as well as a swimsuit and towel, are suggested.
- Experiences are best enjoyed when the conditions are safe. trips during heavy monsoons may be limited, and the hike can become more difficult due to the slippery terrain or a high flow of water.
Surrounded by the verdant Western Ghat, Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m. The water looks as if milk is being poured from the top of the mountain. This is why it is called “Dudhsagar” or sea of milk.
