Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Bagdogra & Scenic Transfer to Gangtok (135 km | Approx. 4.5 hours)

  • Arrive at Bagdogra Airport, the primary gateway to the breathtaking hill regions of North Bengal and Sikkim
  • Begin a picturesque drive to Gangtok, enjoying views of lush valleys, flowing rivers, and serene mountain landscapes along the way
  • Arrive in Gangtok, the clean and charming capital of Sikkim, known for its peaceful ambience, vibrant culture, and iconic monasteries
  • Check in at your hotel and relax after the journey
  • Enjoy your free time to explore the surroundings or simply unwind at the hotel

Day 2 - Gangtok: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Breakfast at the Hotel 

  • Visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a stunning high-altitude glacial lake revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Legends say Buddhist monks once studied the lake’s changing colours to predict future events
  • Continue to the New Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to the brave soldier Harbhajan Singh
  • After the sightseeing tour, return to your hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable and relaxing evening
  • Note: If Tsomgo Lake is closed due to landslides or weather conditions, alternate sightseeing in Gangtok will be arranged
  • Optional: Nathula Pass visit is available on direct payment basis and is subject to weather, road conditions, and army permit availability. (Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays)

Day 3 - Gangtok Sightseeing & Transfer to Darjeeling

  • Do Drul Chorten (Stupa) – one of the most important stupas in Sikkim
  • Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturdays & Sundays) – a centre dedicated to Tibetan culture, history, and Buddhist studies
  • Directorate of Handicrafts & Handlooms (Closed on Saturdays & Sundays) – showcasing traditional Sikkimese crafts and artistry
  • Bakthang Waterfalls – a beautiful cascade surrounded by lush greenery, perfect for photos
  • Enjoy a wholesome vegetarian lunch at a local restaurant
  • Proceed with a scenic drive to Darjeeling, once known as the “Queen of Hill Stations.” Learn how its name originates from “Dorje Ling,” meaning the land of the sacred thunderbolt of the Lama religion. The journey offers views of tea gardens, rolling hills, and glimpses of the majestic Himalayan peaks
  • Arrive in Darjeeling, check in at your hotel, and relax for the evening

Day 4 - Darjeeling: Sunrise at Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing

  • Begin early with a pre-dawn excursion to Tiger Hill (8,364 ft) to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, weather permitting
  • Visit the historic Ghoom Monastery and the iconic Batasia Loop, known for its spiral railway track and beautiful war memorial
