Day 1 - Arrival in Jaipur – The Pink City

  • Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur was planned according to the Shilpa Shastra (ancient Hindu architectural treatise) and is uniquely divided into nine rectangular sectors, symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe
  • The city was painted pink in 1853 to welcome Prince Albert, giving it the iconic hue it’s known for today

Day 2 - Jaipur Sightseeing – Forts, Palaces & Bazaars
