Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Ahmedabad

Arrive in Ahmedabad and transfer to your hotel

  • In the evening, visit Law Garden Market and the Sabarmati Riverfront for a leisurely stroll and local shopping

Day 2 - Ahmedabad – Sasan Gir (Approx. 360 km)

  • Drive to Sasan Gir (Note: Gir National Park is closed from 15th June to 15th October. During this period, visits will be made to Devalia Park. Devalia Park is also closed on Wednesdays and during heavy rain.)
  • Explore Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary, home to over 300 Asiatic lions. It is the only place outside Africa where lions can be seen in their natural habitat. The sanctuary spans approximately 1,450 sq km and is the last refuge of Asiatic lions in India
  • Learn about Asiatic lions, a subspecies that split from African lions around 100,000 years ago

Day 3 - Sasan Gir – Somnath (Approx. 60 km)

  • Bhalka Tirth – Located in Veraval, this is the sacred site where Lord Krishna is believed to have taken his last breath, struck by an arrow from the hunter Jara
  • Triveni Ghat – The confluence of three rivers: Hiran, Kapil, and a mythical river. The ghat offers a serene view and spiritual significance

Day 4 - Somnath – Porbandar – Dwarka (Approx. 250 km)

Drive to Porbandar and visit:

  • Kirti Mandir – Birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, including his ancestral house, Kasturba Gandhi’s house, a museum, and Gandhi’s study room
  • Sudama Temple – Built to commemorate the friendship between Lord Krishna and his devoted friend Sudama
  • Continue to Dwarka and visit Dwarkadhish Temple, one of India’s most revered temples dedicated to Lord Krishna, located in the holy city of Dwarka
  • Attend the evening Aarti Darshan at Dwarkadhish Temple

Day 5 - Dwarka – Bet Dwarka – Nageshwar – Dwarka

Attend early morning Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing:

  • Bet Dwarka – Also known as Bet Shankhoddar, located 5 km from Okha and 30 km from Dwarka. Believed to be the residence of Lord Krishna with his family and the site where Vishnu defeated the demon Shankhasura. The Krishna temple here is a major highlight for devotees
  • Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple – One of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, an important pilgrimage site mentioned in the Purana
  • Rukmini Temple – Dedicated to Rukmini, the beloved wife of Lord Krishna, showcasing beautiful carvings and spiritual significance

Day 6 - Dwarka – Jamnagar – Ahmedabad (Approx. 450 km)
